Site Preparation

Properly preparing a site for a new pavement is critical to the overall life of that pavement.  Site preparation typically consists of setting correct elevations to moving the earth to installing a solid foundation upon which to build the pavement. 

Importance of Proper Site Grading

In addition to starting with an appropriate design preparing an area for paving is very important to create a long-lasting and structurally sound surface.  Performing the proper site grading work before starting the paving job has both aesthetic and structural benefits.

Structurally, a properly graded site will ensure erosion control, meet local code and provide the necessary drainage control for the area.

Heavy machinery is used to start with rough grading of the area, moving the sand, soil, clay and other materials.  We use the latest technologies to move earth efficiently and with precision, which reduces costs and saves time. 

Just prior to laying the aggregate base for the asphalt, we come back and perform fine grading on the site.  This attention to detail ensures the area is properly prepared to lay the asphalt and that the asphalt will last for a long time to come.
